Non-resident share in Russian OFZ bonds drops to 3% in June

As of July 1, 2026, the share of foreign investments in Russian federal government bonds (OFZ) has dropped to 3%, according to data released by the Bank of Russia.

One month earlier, on June 1, the figure stood at 3.2%, while a year ago, on July 1, 2025, the share of foreign investments in Russian OFZ bonds was 3.9%.

The nominal value of OFZ bonds held by non-residents as of early June 2026 amounted to 980 billion rubles, compared to the total market volume of 32.964 trillion rubles.

(OFZ bonds are Russian federal government bonds denominated in rubles.)
