### Russian Transport Ministry Denies Plans to Restrict Right-Hand Drive Cars The Russian Ministry of Transport has clarified that its ongoing study of right-hand drive vehicles is not aimed at introducing any restrictive measures. The ministry emphasized that the research is solely focused on collecting and analyzing data necessary for assessing road safety levels, according to Russian state news agency **RIA Novosti**. Earlier, the ministry announced that it is collaborating with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the state-owned research institute **NAMI** to examine the specifics of using right-hand drive vehicles and associated risks. The findings will form the basis for potential recommendations to enhance road safety measures. The ministry stressed that there are no discussions about bans or restrictions for owners of right-hand drive cars. The main objective of the study is to identify factors contributing to accidents and determine ways to minimize potential risks associated with driving such vehicles. According to the ministry, there are currently around 4 million right-hand drive cars registered in Russia, making the issue of their safe operation relevant for a significant number of drivers.
