### Russian Stock Market Opens Lower: MICEX Index Drops 2% On Wednesday, the opening session of the Russian stock market saw the MICEX Index (a key Russian stock market index calculated by the Moscow Exchange) fall by 2%, trading at 2,297 basis points. Here is the trading dynamics of the most liquid stocks: - Lukoil: -2.3% - Gazprom: -1.3% - Sberbank: -0.5% - Rosneft: -3% The MICEX Index is a price indicator of the Russian stock market, formed based on the free-float market capitalization of highly liquid shares of large and fast-growing Russian companies. The composite stock index is calculated using the prices of the most liquid Russian company stocks, weighted by their free-float market capitalization. The index composition and weight are reviewed quarterly.
