During the first round of negotiations between the United States and Iran in Bürgenstock, Switzerland, the parties agreed on a 60-day plan to reach a final agreement, according to a joint statement by Qatar and Pakistan, who acted as mediators in the talks.

Under the agreed terms, a high-level committee will be established to oversee the political implementation of the roadmap. The parties also agreed to maintain communication on issues related to the Strait of Hormuz, with a specific discussion on halting hostilities in Lebanon.
