The Federation Council has approved amendments to the Russian Code of Administrative Offences at its recent session, introducing penalties for unauthorized sales of electronic train tickets by non-carriers.

Under the new regulations, illegal sales of electronic train tickets will incur fines: individuals will face fines ranging from 5,000 to 10,000 rubles (approximately $60 to $120), while individual entrepreneurs and legal entities will be fined between 400,000 and 500,000 rubles (approximately $4,800 to $6,000).

The federal law will come into effect on the day of its official publication.
