Moscow Exchange Index rises 1% to 2540 points in Monday trading session

Moscow Exchange Index (MOEX) surges by 1% on Monday, reaching 2,540 points during trading session.
Among the most liquid stocks, the following dynamics are observed:
- Norilsk Nickel (Gaz Metallurgy Company) +3%;
- Sberbank +0.6%;
- Lukoil +0.7%;
- VTB +1.7%.
The Moscow Exchange Index (MOEX) is a price indicator of the Russian stock market. It is calculated based on the free-float market capitalization of the most liquid shares of large and dynamically growing Russian companies.
The composite stock index of the Moscow Exchange is calculated based on prices weighted by free-float market capitalization. The index composition and weight are reviewed quarterly.
