Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law expanding the list of organizations authorized to take immediate action against threats posed by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Under the new law, the Bank of Russia, Sberbank, and special postal service institutions are now empowered to independently respond to drone flights in the event of attacks on protected facilities.

The relevant document has been published on the official legal information portal.

The amendments allow these organizations to act swiftly in case of an imminent threat, without waiting for the arrival or decisions of relevant government bodies. The law aims to enhance the protection of critical infrastructure and improve the effectiveness of responses to attacks involving drones.

The new regulations came into effect on June 10, the day of the official publication of the document.
