MICEX (Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange) Index is a price indicator of the Russian stock market. It is calculated based on the market capitalization of free-float shares and includes highly liquid securities of large and fast-growing Russian companies.
The composite stock index of the Moscow Exchange is calculated based on prices weighted by market capitalization, taking into account free-float, of the most liquid Russian company stocks.
It is worth noting that the index composition and weights are reviewed quarterly.
