### Russian Air Defense Forces Intercept 148 Ukrainian Drones Overnight In the night from June 1 to June 2, Russian air defense forces intercepted and neutralized 148 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) across several regions of Russia, according to a statement by the Ministry of Defense. All of the intercepted drones were of the fixed-wing type. The drones were engaged in the border regions of Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, as well as in central Russia in Orel and Smolensk, and further south in Volgograd. In the southern regions, drones were intercepted and destroyed over Rostov, Krasnodar, and the Republic of Crimea (a region annexed by Russia in 2014 and claimed by Ukraine), as well as over the waters of the Azov and Black Seas. As a result of the overnight operation, all detected UAVs were either intercepted or destroyed. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties or damage on the ground. Emergency and operational services are currently working at the sites where the drones crashed.
