Major Parts of Kherson and Zaporozhye Regions Left Without Electricity

Large-scale power outages have hit Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, according to regional authorities.

Kherson governor Vladimir Saldo said that eight municipal districts and one city district have been left without electricity. The outage was caused by a drone attack.

In Zaporozhye, governor Evgeniy Balytskyi reported that a significant part of the region has also lost power. The cause of the blackout has not been specified. He stressed that critical infrastructure remains operational, having been switched to backup power sources.

Energy workers and emergency services in both regions are currently working to restore power supplies.
