Peskov Denies Deadline for End of Conflict in Ukraine

Russia has not set any deadlines or ultimatums for the withdrawal of troops from Donbass, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, commenting on media and social media reports suggesting Moscow had established deadlines.

Peskov stressed that such claims do not reflect reality. He reiterated that Russia consistently states that the withdrawal of Ukrainian units from Donbass is one of the conditions for ending the active phase of the special military operation (SVO).

He noted that fulfilling this condition could create a basis for transitioning from military actions to a political and diplomatic resolution of the conflict. However, he specifically emphasized that there are no specific timelines or time constraints involved.
