Russian Agricultural Enterprises Increase Grain Shipment by Nearly 30%

In the first four months of 2026, Russian agricultural organizations shipped 20.2 million tons of grains and legumes, marking a 29.5% increase compared to the same period last year, according to Rosstat (the Federal State Statistics Service of Russia).
Specifically, wheat shipments increased by 30.2% to 13.6 million tons, corn by 27.3% to 2.4 million tons, and oilseeds by 24.1% to 5.6 million tons. Additionally, agricultural organizations sold 2.8 million tons of sugar beets (a 1.6-fold increase), 995,400 tons of potatoes (+13.6%), and 1 million tons of vegetables (+7%).
By the end of April, grain and legume stocks (including corn) in Russian agricultural organizations totaled 16.2 million tons (+16% year-on-year), oilseed stocks reached 2.8 million tons (+23.2%), potato stocks amounted to 1.06 million tons (1.7 times more), and vegetable stocks stood at 357,100 tons (-44%).
