### Russian Air Defense Intercepts 145 Ukrainian UAVs in Massive Drone Attack
Russian air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 145 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of aircraft type between 7:00 and 14:00 Moscow time, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The attacks were detected across multiple regions of the country, with drones being shot down over the territories of Kaluga, Tula, Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Ryazan, Rostov, and Smolensk oblasts, as well as in the Moscow region.
Additionally, air defense systems were active in the Perm, Krasnodar, and Stavropol territories, Crimea, Adygea, and Chechnya. Some of the drones were eliminated over the Black and Azov Seas.
The Ministry clarified that all intercepted drones were of aircraft type. No information was provided on ground consequences or possible damage.
Earlier, air defense systems had destroyed another 264 Ukrainian UAVs of aircraft type between midnight and 7:00.
Since midnight on May 8, a ceasefire has been in effect in the Special Military Operation (SVO) zone, announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The ceasefire will last until May 10.
