### Inflation Slows Down in Russia, Prices Rise Moderately Across Sectors
In March, price growth dynamics in Russia showed signs of deceleration: in 51 out of 85 regions, inflation rates decreased compared to February. In the remaining regions, either the previous pace of price growth was maintained or an acceleration was recorded.
The food segment overall demonstrated moderate price increases. In some regions, certain product categories even became cheaper. Vegetables and fruits rose in price within seasonal norms, while in most regions butter and cheese prices decreased. At the same time, the cost of eggs and sugar increased more rapidly.
The non-food sector also saw price growth, but it was restrained. Excise goods made the main contribution, while long-term use products mostly saw minor price increases.
The most noticeable price increases were seen in the services sector. Prices for foreign trips and sanatorium treatments increased significantly, which is traditionally associated with high demand ahead of May holidays (a period of national celebrations in Russia). Additionally, tariffs for household and medical services continued to rise.
On an annual basis, inflation decreased in 49 regions of the country, indicating a gradual easing of price pressure, although the situation remains uneven depending on the region and category of goods and services.
