In the first quarter, the volume of sustainable development financing instruments showed a significant increase, growing by 34%. The main contribution came from corporate bond issuances, with proceeds directed towards environmental and transition projects, totaling nearly 60 billion rubles.

Market participants attribute this dynamic to the stimulative regulatory measures introduced by the Bank of Russia. The regulator reduced risk weights on such assets by 10-50%, depending on their environmental quality, significantly increasing their attractiveness for the banking sector.

These changes provided financial institutions with additional incentives to invest more actively in projects related to sustainable development. The preferential regime applies both to lending and the issuance of bonds focused on environmental agendas.

The funds raised are planned to be used for developing the infrastructure of the "green" economy, including the construction of energy-efficient housing and the modernization of public transport with a transition to environmentally friendly energy sources.
