Under the state program of investment quotas, also known as the "quotas under the keel" mechanism, 55 modern fishing vessels have already been transferred to Russian fishery companies, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev announced at a meeting focused on coordinating the completion of fishing fleet construction.
According to Patrushev, 44 of these vessels were completed over the past three years thanks to measures implemented within a special management project aimed at accelerating shipbuilding works. By the end of 2026, the industry is expected to receive another 8 new vessels.
In parallel, the second stage of the investment quotas distribution program continues. Since its launch, 34 contracts have been signed for the construction of fishing vessels and specialized crab fishing vessels at Russian shipyards.
Additionally, new auctions are planned for this year, which could result in the signing of another 13 agreements for the construction of crab fishing vessels intended for operation in the Northern and Far Eastern fishery basins.
