### Russian Tour Operators Extend Stay for Stranded Gulf Region Tourists Russian tour operators continue to organize extended stays for tourists who are unable to leave the Gulf region due to air travel restrictions. The situation in the area has been ongoing for three days. According to the Association of Russian Tour Operators (ATOR), travel industry companies are working around the clock to address accommodation issues for travelers stranded in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and other Middle Eastern countries. FUN&SUN reported that they have been working on accommodating their clients over the past day, and all tourists are now provided with accommodation. Similar information was confirmed by PAC Group and Corona Travel. According to Spectrum Travel, all their clients who are delayed in the UAE, Qatar, and Oman have been accommodated in hotels. In some cases, hotels are covering the accommodation costs, while in others, tourists are responsible for the expenses. Anex noted that their operational departments are working non-stop, maintaining communication with local partners to quickly resolve any issues. Space Travel stated that the most acute phase of the crisis has passed: tourists are accommodated and waiting for the reopening of airspace. However, the company points out the difficulties with the compensation mechanism proposed by Dubai authorities for accommodation costs, which can be hard for tourists to access. Tour operators are also assisting transit passengers stranded in third countries by offering alternative routes and organizing extended stays. For tourists currently in Russia who planned trips to the Middle East or flights with layovers in the region, various options are available: rescheduling travel dates, changing destinations, or canceling tours without actual costs until March 8. The industry emphasizes that call centers are operating at maximum capacity. Tourists are asked not to duplicate requests, stay in touch with guides, and not leave hotels without confirmation of further actions.
