Amid reports of a military operation by the US and Israel against Iran and subsequent missile strikes, rumors have emerged in the media and social networks about the evacuation of the iconic Burj Khalifa skyscraper in Dubai. Kaluga News reached out to Kaluga-based blogger Andrey Alistarov, who is currently in the UAE, to get a firsthand account of the situation.

According to Alistarov, the atmosphere in the city is completely calm, and reports of the evacuation of the world-famous tower are unfounded.

"Neither my friends nor I have heard anything, no explosions, just silence. We were near Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall. What the media wrote about evacuation, we saw nothing. People are walking around, drinking coffee, enjoying life. There is absolutely no panic," he said.

Alistarov also highlighted the prevalence of fake news: many media outlets are publishing images unrelated to the UAE.

"Almost all media outlets are publishing photos that are either from another country or another city — definitely not Dubai — and presenting them as events happening here. This is 100% fake," the blogger emphasized.
