Ceasefire Established Around Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant

From 7:00 Moscow time on February 27, a local ceasefire has been established in the area of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev announced, according to TASS.

Likhachev emphasized that the agreement on the ceasefire was reached with the involvement of IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi. The establishment of a local ceasefire allowed repair crews to begin restoring the open switchyard of the Zaporizhzhia Thermal Power Station and the "Ferroalloy" power line, which were damaged as a result of an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (February 10). Work on the site is being carried out under the supervision of IAEA experts and will last at least a week.
