St. Petersburg law enforcement has detained Anton Dzhalibov, deputy chairman of the management board of Gazprom Neft, on suspicion of receiving bribes totaling over 29 million rubles, according to a source in law enforcement cited by TASS.

Dzhalibov is accused of two bribery episodes in 2020-2021, receiving money from executives of contracting companies. He used 27 million rubles to buy an apartment in an elite residential complex in Sochi, and received a second bribe in the form of a boat worth over 1.7 million rubles.

According to the investigation, Dzhalibov signed off on acceptance certificates for construction works that were not actually completed, ensured their payment, and protected contractors from penalties and fines for delays in work schedules in exchange for the bribes.
