Armed clashes between Pakistani and Afghan forces have erupted across multiple border regions, according to Afghan TOLO News, as reported by TASS.

Gunfights have been reported in six Afghan provinces—Nangarhar, Nuristan, Kunar, Khost, Paktia, and Paktika. The skirmishes are taking place near the so-called Durand Line, a demarcation line that Pakistan considers its official border but which is not recognized by Afghanistan.

There has been no word yet on the scale of the fighting or any casualties among troops on either side. Authorities in both Pakistan and Afghanistan have not yet issued any official statements.
