Combating corruption, including in the area of state defense orders, is a key task for national security agencies, Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized during his speech at the FSB (Federal Security Service) board meeting.

"As before, an important task for security agencies is to fight corruption. It is necessary to highlight cases of misuse of funds allocated for state defense orders and national projects, as well as for the implementation of large-scale federal and regional programs," he stressed.

Another priority for the security service, according to Putin, is protecting the rights of Russian businesses, especially in the context of sanctions.

"In the context of harsh sanctions pressure, it is important to continue working to protect the rights of Russian businesses, actively counteract crimes in the financial and banking sectors," Putin stated, adding that this affects the efficiency of import-export operations, the competitiveness of national jurisdiction, and the improvement of investment conditions in Russia.
