In addition to military and political negotiations, Russia and the United States have agreed to establish an economic working group. Through this group, Moscow aims to clarify what the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump means by "mutual benefits" in the context of bilateral cooperation. This was announced by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in an interview with Al Arabiya TV channel.

"We have agreed with our American colleagues, in addition to the military and political negotiations taking place in Geneva in an expanded format, to create a bilateral economic working group. Within this group, we will discuss all these issues. We want to understand what mutual benefits mean in the view of the Donald Trump administration," Lavrov emphasized.

  • Earlier, during a trilateral meeting in Geneva aimed at resolving the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Russian Presidential Special Representative Kirill Dmitriev met with the American delegation to discuss economic cooperation.
