The Russian government has approved a new strategy for supporting charitable activities up to 2030. The document outlines strategic goals aimed at creating a more favorable environment where citizens and businesses can more actively participate in supporting social initiatives.

The main focus is on increasing the involvement of individuals and the business community in charitable projects. Authorities plan to improve the system of incentives, including tax benefits for individuals and companies that allocate funds to socially significant causes.

Special attention is given to the development of practices for donating food and other goods by manufacturers and retail chains for charitable purposes. It is expected that this will increase targeted assistance while reducing product waste.

The strategy envisions modernizing the mechanisms for managing endowment funds of non-profit organizations and reducing administrative burdens on NGOs. This is intended to simplify their operations and enhance the resilience of the sector.

Among the priorities is the digital transformation of the charitable sector. Plans include the development of specialized information systems and services, as well as the introduction of modern digital solutions to increase transparency and efficiency of projects.

The document also aims to strengthen the infrastructure supporting socially-oriented NGOs, including the creation and development of resource centers, particularly in rural areas. Building sustainable interaction between donors, government bodies, businesses, and media is highlighted as a key task.

Additional measures are planned to enhance the professional skills of specialists working in the charitable sector, as well as educational support and dissemination of best practices and successful projects.
