### Russia Allocates Over $10 Billion for Housing Certificates in 2026 In 2026, Russia will allocate more than 10 billion rubles ($10 billion) to provide housing certificates for citizens in need of improved living conditions. The funds will support individuals who require better housing options. The housing certificate program allows recipients to either relocate to areas with better social and communal infrastructure or purchase more comfortable housing within their current city. Eligible for this government support are several categories of citizens, including those affected by the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, forced migrants, and residents leaving Baikonur (a Russian space launch facility), remote northern regions, and closed administrative-territorial entities (special restricted areas). Additionally, certificates will be provided to military personnel, law enforcement officers, and employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MChS).
