### Leasing Sales of New and Used Vehicles Plunge by 32.9% in 2025
In 2025, leasing sales of new and used vehicles (including passenger cars, light commercial vehicles, trucks, buses, and trailers) in Russia dropped by 32.9%, reaching 301,200 units, according to data from market participants cited by the Russian business daily [Kommersant](https://www.kommersant.ru/doc/8398886?tg).
Experts attribute this decline to reduced business solvency amid high Central Bank interest rates and rising prices.
Specifically, leasing of new vehicles fell by 42.2%, to 216,900 units. Sales of buses saw the smallest decline at 15.2%. Light commercial vehicles and passenger cars saw drops of 29.2% and 33.6%, respectively. The most significant declines were recorded in truck leasing (-66.3%) and trailer leasing (-68.3%).
However, leasing sales of used vehicles increased by 14.6%, reaching 84,300 units. The largest growth was seen in passenger cars (+18.8%), light commercial vehicles (+14.9%), and buses (+14.2%).
