At the "Sozvezdie" Center for Gifted Children, a regional project session was held for students in grades 8-11 from schools in the Tula region of Russia. Specialists from Tula State University led the project groups.

Sergey Shalyankov, junior researcher at the Tula Engineering School "Intellectual Defense Systems," and laboratory assistant Dmitry Khayrullin supervised the aerodynamics track. Meanwhile, PhD holders Alexey Plyasov and Irina Astapova were responsible for gear tooth profiling for drones and automated design. The Tula State University scientists also proposed project topics for the students.

One project group, consisting of students from Uzlovaya, Kimovsk, Novomoskovsk, and Shchekino, studied the flow around a wing profile in a subsonic stream using the "SolidWorks" program. The result of their work was their own aerodynamic profile.

Eighth-graders Sophia Kokotova and Daria Erina from Uzlovaya created a gearbox as part of their project titled "Development and Optimization of a Transmission Unit for an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle."

On January 26, a project defense took place, involving 19 students. The expert jury highly appreciated the projects, while the students were able to hone their project management skills and clarify their future career paths.
