New Moscow Bank Depositor Payments Begin

The Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA) has announced the start of insurance payouts to depositors of the New Moscow Bank (NMB), which had its Central Bank license revoked. This information was shared in an official statement by the agency.

Payments began on January 28th. Depositors can file a claim via the "Gosuslugi" government services portal or the DIA website. Funds will be transferred to the bank account or "Mir" card number specified in the application.

The total insurance liability of the DIA to NMB depositors amounts to 144.5 million rubles. There were 720 depositors in total at the New Moscow Bank, 464 of whom were legal entities.

• The Central Bank revoked the commercial license of the New Moscow Bank on January 23, 2026, due to violations of laws governing banking activities.
