Roskomnadzor Denies Introduction of New Restrictions on Telegram

Roskomnadzor has stated that currently no new restrictive measures are being applied to the Telegram messenger. The agency noted this in a comment to Forbes, emphasizing that the current regulatory regime for the service remains unchanged. "Currently, no new restrictive measures are being applied to Telegram," Roskomnadzor indicated. Earlier, in August 2025, the regulator announced the introduction of partial restrictions on voice calls in Telegram. These measures were explained by the need to counter criminal activity.
