U.S. President Donald Trump has decided to release two Russian citizens who were part of the crew of the tanker "Mariner". The vessel was previously detained by U.S. military forces in the North Atlantic. This was reported by the official spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
According to her, this decision was made in response to an appeal from the Russian foreign ministry. Moscow positively evaluates this step and expresses gratitude to the U.S. leadership.
