Increase in Oil and Gas Reserves: Preliminary Data from Rosnedra for 2025

According to preliminary estimates, in 2025, the increase in oil reserves ready for extraction amounted to 490 million tons, and gas reserves reached 650 million cubic meters, reported Oleg Kazanov, head of Rosnedra. He clarified that some objects are still at the stage of expertise, but according to preliminary data, the total increase in oil reserves could reach approximately 666 million tons. Of this figure, 490 million tons belong to the industrial categories ABC1, meaning they are already prepared for extraction. Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak had previously stated that the volume of oil production in 2025 will remain at approximately 516 million tons, similar to the previous year.
