One-time allowance for childbirth in 2026 will exceed 28,7 thousand rubles.

The amount of childbirth allowance in Russia will gradually increase. According to the law on the budget of the Social Fund of the Russian Federation for 2026-2028, from February 1, 2026, the one-time allowance will amount to 28,773 rubles.

The document also records further growth of this support measure. By 2028, the amount of the allowance will reach 31 thousand rubles. The indexation is carried out within the framework of planning the state’s social obligations for the medium-term perspective.

The law on the budget of the Social Fund for 2026–2028 was signed by President of Russia Vladimir Putin on November 28. It defines the main parameters of financing social benefits, including allowances for families with children.

Against this background, the State Duma continues to discuss additional measures to support parents. In particular, earlier there was a proposal to increase the amount of childcare allowance to 75% of the salary, but this initiative is still under consideration.
