On Thursday, gold (XAU/USD) fell by 0.1%, trading around $4,212 per ounce (31.1 g).

Platinum (XPT/USD) fell by 0.2% on Thursday, with a price of $1,634 per ounce.

Here are the main global centers for trading precious metals:

- Over-the-counter market in London (LBMA),

- American futures (COMEX, NYMEX),

- Shanghai Gold Exchange (SGE).

These platforms account for more than 90% of global precious metal trading.

Gold remains one of the most liquid assets: daily trading volumes on organized trading platforms (futures) are estimated at $50 billion, while over-the-counter market volumes are even higher – approximately $60 billion per day.

The review was presented by Yulia Grishchenko, a member of the listing expert council of the Moscow Exchange, PhD in Economics, head of the Financial and Investment Management Department at the Faculty of "Higher School of Management" of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.
