Insurance Payouts under Motor Third-Party Liability Policies Totaled 187.8 Billion Rubles Since the Beginning of the Year

In Russia, the total amount of payments under motor third-party liability insurance (MTPL) policies reached 187.8 billion rubles from January to October 2025, according to the press service of the Russian Union of Automobile Insurers (RSA).

Since the beginning of the year, Russians have concluded 43.1 million MTPL insurance contracts, 6.1 million of which were short-term policies. The total amount of collected insurance premiums amounts to 270.9 billion rubles.

It is noted that during the period under review, the average premium for annual MTPL policies decreased by 4.9%, to 7,200 rubles, while the average insurance payment increased by 16%, to 115,800 rubles.
