Russian automotive manufacturers with a special investment contract may have their deferment of waste disposal fees extended into 2026 as well. Albert Karimov, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, announced plans to maintain the deferment during a roundtable discussion at the Federation Council. "One of the important measures is the already traditional deferment of waste disposal fees for our localized manufacturers. This issue will be further discussed, and we expect to implement this mechanism next year as well. Currently, we are working on the proper launch of the necessary legal framework," TASS news agency quoted Karimov as saying. - This measure was introduced in Russia to address the problem of working capital shortages in the industry. The deferment of waste disposal fees for the fourth quarter of 2024 and the first three quarters of 2025 is valid until mid-December 2025.
