FSB Prevented Terrorist Attack on Railway in Krasnodar Region

The Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia in Krasnodar Krai has thwarted an attempt at sabotage on a critical transport infrastructure object. According to the press service of the agency, a citizen of Ukraine has been detained who, on the instructions of Ukrainian intelligence services, was preparing to blow up railway tracks in Krasnodar.

According to the official statement, the saboteur planned to use a homemade explosive device. The goal of the sabotage was to disrupt the schedule of transportation of military equipment and weapons to the area of the Special Military Operation.

As a result of operational measures, law enforcement officers were able not only to detain the suspect but also to prevent the terrorist act from being carried out.
