First Deputy Head of Tashtaгольsky District in Kuzbass Region Detained over Abuse of Power Case

Sergey Popov, the first deputy head of Tashtaгольsky district in Kemerovo region, was detained by the officers of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia in the region, according to the press service of the agency. According to the investigation, the official abused his authority when concluding contracts for construction works as part of the development of the infrastructure of the Shegegesh ski resort. Preliminary findings indicate that his actions caused significant damage to state interests. Currently, the issue of choosing a preventive measure for the suspect is being resolved.
