Alihanov: Since 2018, 46 fishing vessels have been completed in Russia

Since 2018, 65 fishing vessels and 42 crab fishing vessels have been under construction in Russia, with the construction of 46 vessels already completed. This was reported by Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov during the Government Hour.
In addition to food machinery and chemical industry, Alikhanov also spoke about another sector of the agro-industrial complex - the construction of fishing vessels. According to him, domestic equipment is being developed quickly, which will allow increasing the technological sovereignty of the industry.
«Almost all new vessels are being built with government support measures, especially the quota under the keel mechanism is in high demand. Since 2018, contracts have been signed for the construction of 65 fishing vessels and 42 crab fishing vessels. To date, 46 vessels have already been delivered. Last year, the second stage of investment quotas began, with 34 contracts signed», - said the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
In addition, dry cargo ships and bulk carriers are being built in Russia for internal waterways. Thus, up to 20,000 hopper wagons will be engaged in the transportation of grain by rail annually. And the production of automotive refrigerators has increased by more than two times over the past two years to 7,500 per year.
It is also worth noting that the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia has already allocated more than 2 billion rubles for the development of autonomous ship navigation technologies.
And for the construction of vessels to increase sea and river transportation and develop Arctic routes, additional funding of more than 9 billion rubles has been allocated from the state budget.
