State Duma Adopts Law Simplifying Tax Registration Procedure for Foreign Companies

To register when opening a bank account, foreign organizations no longer need to apply to the tax authorities. Today, the State Duma adopted a law simplifying the procedure for registration in tax authorities for foreign companies opening accounts in Russian banks. It is known that the law will come into force on September 1, 2026. The decision can be explained in practice: the current procedure for registration in tax authorities is too complicated and rarely used by banks, TASS reported.
