At the Day of Platform Economy event, Wildberries & Russ, Ozon, and Avito signed a memorandum on fair practices for digital platforms. This is a list of voluntary commitments aimed at strengthening trust between the state, businesses, and users, TASS reports.
"The memorandum is a new standard of self-regulation in the industry, demonstrating the maturity of the sector and the responsible approach of the largest Russian platforms that recognize their importance for the social and economic development of the country. For partners of digital platforms, the memorandum is a guarantee that we will continue to develop our mechanisms in the interests of partners and that the adoption of the law does not mean that platforms will no longer improve their standards of fairness," comments Tatiana Kim, founder of Wildberries.
By signing the memorandum, Wildberries & Russ, Ozon, and Avito have committed to voluntarily accepting these obligations, as well as several additional ones related to the early implementation of certain requirements of the federal law "On Certain Issues of Regulation of Platform Economy in the Russian Federation."
