Russia and Iran are planning to establish a joint maritime consortium. The parties are currently discussing the details of the future agreement, according to Kazem Jalali, the Iranian ambassador to Moscow, who made the announcement on the X social media platform. He emphasized that this agreement was reached during negotiations held in Makhachkala on November 6-7, which were attended by representatives of major companies and the leadership of both countries. "During this event, an agreement was reached on the structure and framework of the consortium, and it was agreed to prepare and present the details and official text during negotiations in the next month," the diplomat stated in his message. According to Jalali, the main goal of establishing the consortium is to develop trade, transportation, and transit.
