Sales of Lada Largus cars have been temporarily suspended, reports TASS. The decision to ban the sale of the model at dealerships was made by AvtoVAZ on October 21 following reports of difficult steering wheel rotation.
The incident is being monitored by Rosstandart. The supervisory body has sent a request to the manufacturer regarding possible non-compliance of the cars with the technical regulations of the Customs Union.
At AvtoVAZ, they confirmed the introduction of restrictions until the completion of the full cycle of checks, including data analysis, component testing, and material research. At the moment, all cases of problems with steering control are being resolved within the framework of warranty repairs. The manufacturer, together with the supplier, is working to establish the causes of the possible defect.
