Yandex has restored previously blocked Telegram channels in Yandex Advertising Network (Yandex Ad Network, YAN). Earlier, channel owners had massively complained about blocks, which, according to the company, were related to suspicions of artificial boosting of ad views.
The reason for the sanctions by Yandex moderation was the assumption of violation of paragraph 2.1 of YAN rules, which prohibits the use of any methods of unfair reproduction of ad impressions and clicks. Initially, the blocks were described as permanent and non-appealable.
However, after appeals from channel owners, the company reconsidered its decisions. It turned out that some blocks were imposed erroneously. Currently, the blocked channels have been returned to the monetization system.
Yandex acknowledged the mistake on their side, publishing a corresponding message in YAN.
