Several Russian financial institutions have been subject to new EU sanctions. The corresponding list is published in the journal of the European Union.
Thus, as part of the 19th package of anti-Russian sanctions, the EU prohibits transactions with Alfa-Bank, MTS Bank, and Absolut Bank. The new requirement will start on November 12th. Restrictions are also being imposed on the experimental design bureau of motor engineering, the companies "Sollers", "Sollers Cargo" and "Sollers Alabuga". In total, 42 legal entities and 21 individuals were blacklisted by the EU.
12 Chinese companies, 3 Indian and two Thai companies were sanctioned.
Starting from April 25, 2026, a ban on the import of Russian LNG under short-term contracts will be introduced, and from January 1, 2027, on long-term contracts.
