Altai authorities plan to introduce restrictions on the sale of tobacco and alcohol

Restrictions on the sale of tobacco and alcohol may be introduced in the Altai Republic. This was announced by the governor of the region Andrey Turchak. According to him, the relevant proposal will be submitted to the regional government for consideration in the near future.

The proposed measures include: a complete ban on alcohol markets and retail sales of alcohol in the MKD and near kindergartens and schools; a restriction on alcohol sales on weekdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., to 4 p.m. on Fridays and a complete ban on weekends and holidays; a ban on the open display of these products in checkout areas; a ban on the operation of "bulk carriers" in the residential sector; a complete ban on the sale of smoking mixtures, vapes and their components.
