About the price situation on the global gas market

The pricing of natural gas, including of Russian origin, is based on current world prices for gas and oil.

There are two main international natural gas pricing centers: Henry Hub in the USA and the Dutch hub TTF Gas.

1. The American market (Henry Hub):

- Current price: correction on Wednesday to 3.5 USD/million BTU (British units).

2. European Market (TTF):

- Current price: correction on Wednesday to the level of 394 USD/1000 m

1. Natural Gas in the USA (NG).

The reference cost of gas in the United States is the price at the Henry Hub storage facility located in Louisiana. 

The unit of measurement is the British Thermal Units (BTU. To convert this price to the generally accepted equivalent of 1,000 cubic meters, an estimated coefficient of 35.8 is used. It is important to note that this price reflects the net cost of raw materials without taking into account the costs of liquefaction, transportation and reverse regasification. Accordingly, consumers in the United States pay much more for gas. 

On the Moscow Stock Exchange, such contracts are designated by the NG-11.25 code and similar combinations of numbers and letters. 

2. European gas.

European gas auctions are held mainly at European gas hubs, the largest of which is DUTCH TTF NATURAL GAS. This Dutch exchange is the leader of the European gas market due to the trading volume exceeding the domestic needs of the Netherlands by more than 14 times. About 20 trillion cubic meters of gas are sold here annually. 

It is necessary to take into account the high seasonality of demand for natural gas, due to a significant increase in consumption during the winter heating period.
