By the end of September 2025, Russia produced 16.39 million dal of alcoholic beverages (excluding beer, cider, poire and mead). In annual terms, the indicator increased by 3.07%. This is reported by "Kommersant".

In September, the production of strong alcohol (excluding vodka, cognac and alcoholic beverages) increased by 17% year-on-year, to 1.1 million dal, still wines - by 8.3%, to 2.91 million dal, sparkling wines - decreased by 5.8%, to 1.82 million dal.

It is noted that production growth has been recorded on the market for the fifth month in a row. Thus, alcohol production increased by 8.2% in May, by 8.9% in June, by 6.6% in July, and by 5% in August.

At the same time, since the beginning of the year, alcohol production in the country has decreased by 9.1% year-on-year, to 120.78 million dal. Market participants attributed this dynamic to difficulties in early 2025 related to inventory formation and a drop in production in the first quarter due to a sharp increase in output by manufacturers at the end of 2024 in anticipation of an increase in excise taxes and the minimum retail price.
