Anton Siluanov: the draft federal budget is balanced and sustainable

Parliamentary hearings "On the parameters of the draft federal budget for 2026 and for the planning period of 2027 and 2028" were held today, October 6 in the Federation Council.

Anton Siluanov, Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation, presented the main parameters of the draft budget.

The budget was formed taking into account the planned cooling of the economy in order to reduce inflation and interest rates and, from 2026, increase the real incomes of the population, as well as the volume of investments from enterprises and develop the economy.

According to Siluanov, the draft federal budget is balanced and sustainable. According to him, the deficit is planned to be at a safe level - 1.6% of GDP in 2026, the level of public debt in the three-year period will remain no more than 20% of GDP.

As always, the main priorities of the budget for 2026 and for the planning period of 2027 and 2028 will be the fulfillment of social obligations to citizens, ensuring defense needs and achieving the national development goals set by the President.
