In the future, fines for drivers driving a car without a CTP policy may be levied for each violation recorded by video cameras of violations. Anatoly Aksakov, Chairman of the Duma Committee on the Financial Market, announced the possibility of introducing such measures.

According to Aksakov, a fine for driving without CTP is charged once on the day the relevant offense is recorded, but later it may begin to be charged several times a day.

"It is quite possible that when practice is developed using cameras to determine whether there is a CTP policy or not, a fine will be levied for each violation," Aksakov was quoted as saying by TASS.

  • Currently, the penalty for not having a valid insurance contract is 500 rubles.
