The Ministry of Industry and Trade expands the list of cars for taxis: Haval, Tenet and Avtotor models will be added

The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade plans to increase the list of vehicles allowed for taxi use. The list will include Haval, Tenet models and cars manufactured at the Avtotor plant.

Earlier, the agency presented an initial list, which includes more than 20 models from the brands Lada, UAZ, Sollers, Evolve, Voyah and Moskvich. According to the ministry, this list will be updated as new models from Russian manufacturers become available and those whose production will be localized in the country in compliance with the necessary standards.

"The presented list is the first edition. It is planned to expand it until March 1, 2026, including through models under the Haval, Tenet brands, as well as cars produced by Avtotor. We are working on this together with automakers," the ministry said in a statement.

Recall that at the end of May, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law establishing requirements for the localization of cars for taxis. These requirements will take effect on March 1, 2026, but they will not apply to vehicles that have already been entered into regional registries before the specified date, which will allow their continued use.
